General Information: Municipal Court has jurisdiction over City Ordinance violation cases filed by the Town Attorney's Office, Wheatland Police Department, and Code Enforcement. All cases filed in Municipal Court are misdemeanors. (Wyoming Municipal Statutes)

Citations issued by the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Wyoming Game and Fish, or the Platte County Sheriff's Office are not heard in Wheatland Municipal Court. They are heard in the Circuit Court of the Eigth Judicial District which is located on the 2nd floor of the Platte County Court House, 800 9th St. Wheatland, WY 82201 (307) 322-3441
